Nestled in the heart of Virginia's scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, Brewing Tree Brewery is a charming brewery that is a must-visit for anyone with a passion for craft beer and a love for picturesque landscapes.
One of Brewing Tree Brewery's standout features is its diverse and innovative beer menu. Whether you're a fan of hoppy IPAs, smooth stouts, or crisp lagers, there's something to delight every palate. Beyond the exceptional beers, Brewing Tree Brewery offers an inviting, relaxed atmosphere that beckons visitors to stay a while. The brewery features a spacious outdoor seating area, perfect for soaking in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Inside, the taproom exudes a rustic charm with its wooden furnishings and warm, welcoming ambiance. The staff at Brewing Tree are known for their friendly and knowledgeable service, always ready to guide you through their beer selection and help you find your new favorite brew. More than just a brewery, Brewing Tree is a vibrant community hub that hosts various events throughout the year, from live music performances to seasonal celebrations. The meadow behind the taproom is perfect for holiday light displays and "apple chucking" in the fall. But Brewing Tree Brewery is not just about the beer. Scratch Kitchen, the on-site food truck, is one of our favorite spots to grab a bite. The menu changes daily, highlighting fresh ingredients that are transformed into innovative dishes. Recent offerings include squash blossoms stuffed with homemade ricotta, french fries with dill seasoning (not to be missed!), and a summer plum salad. Brewing Tree Brewery is a destination for both beer enthusiasts and food lovers seeking a memorable experience in the heart of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Cheers! 🍻

In the Wintergreen area, there are many spots to grab a quick bite on the go or to enjoy an evening out. Here are a few we enjoy!
Blue Mountain Brewery pictured above. On vacation and don’t want to cook? Wintergreen has some great options for on-mountain dining!
Did you know that in the short time we have owned Marley’s Cabin, we have had both a proposal and a wedding at the house? The proposal was a weekend full of surprises, starting with some champagne and a big question, and ending with best friends joining to celebrate! The wedding was a very small ceremony and dinner (under our 8 person guest limit!) on the deck overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Marley’s Cabin, and Wintergreen, are great destinations to sweep your significant other off their feet! Here are a few ideas to make your weekend super special...
![]() Route 151 in Nelson County has become a destination for award winning breweries, wineries, cideries and distilleries. We wanted to share a little about our favorite breweries! Make sure to check calendars for each of these spots as you plan your visits. Many offer live music, "steal the glass" nights and other specials. Devil's BackboneDevils Backbone is a great beer option, and a very popular spot! During the winter months, you can reserve fire pits to huddle around, and the summer months bring live music and festivals. DB is pet and family friendly, and you can often find games like cornhole sprawled out around the property! Blue Mountain BreweryBlue Mountain Brewery is at the top of our list! While the Hopwork Orange and Classic Lager are our go-to's, it's always fun to check out their seasonal beers. (Have you ever tried a Key Lime Sour or Peach Gose?) If beer isn't your thing, you can find some great local wines, ciders and kombucha on their menu as well. Their food is great too! The pizzas are generously sized, the Cuban press is delicious and they offer some solid vegetarian options for the non-meat eaters. The brewery is family and pet friendly, and they often offer live music and other special events. The Brewing TreeFrom 151, the parking lot at The Brewing Tree might look busy. What you can't see from the road is the large meadow space behind the brewery that runs along the North Fork River. Enjoy beer, cider, hard slushies (yes... you read that right!) and plenty of non-alcoholic beverages. They also make their own kombucha from locally sourced ingredients. The food options at the Scratch Kitchen come highly recommended!
There are lots of beer options in the area - these are just a few of our favorites along 151. Look for more posts about breweries, wineries, cideries and distilleries coming soon! ![]() There is good reason why Wintergreen Resort is so popular during the winter months!
